Site wide replacement personnel and fire exit doors
Steel door sets are largely used either to allow personnel access and/or for emergency egress in the event of fire. In the case of a recent project in East Yorkshire, the customer required replacement doors to suit both purposes, as well as the hardware changing on multiple existing doors on site.
The hardware for door requirements can be dictated by security, DDA compliance, building or fire regulations, health and safety or simply personal preference. Due to the dual purpose of the doors on this site the customer requested hardware that would allow ease of use internally in the event of fire, whilst maintaining security externally at all times. We met with the client to discuss their requirements and, with our extensive knowledge advised them on what hardware would best suit their needs.
