Door Replacement

Blue Swoosh Reversed

There are a variety of different types of industrial doors available for use on busy sites. Warehouses, factories and even commercial properties have different needs based off who’s coming and going.

Finding the right door for your site means balancing all these needs – and if you think you might be better served by a different option, it’s not as big of a hassle as you might imagine to make the change.

Even something as large – and as essential to your day-to-day operations – as the door can be replaced. A recent customer at NGF Industrial Doors had a sectional overhead door removed, and replaced with a roller shutter.

What’s the difference between an overhead door and a shutter?

Overhead doors are often called up-and-over doors, as they open vertically. Rather than swinging outwards, they often curve under the ceiling. Roller shutters, on the other hand, fold into a container above the door.

While sectional overhead doors are highly secure, roller shutters can also be used for much larger entryways – up to 11000mm2, compared to the 4000m2 of a sectional overhead door.

Bespoke roller shutter manufacture and installation

We manufactured a brand-new roller shutter to our customer’s exact requirements – we make our roller shutters to order in-house. Our team removed the overhead door and replaced it with the shutter in one go, minimising disruption to the site.

If you’d like a quote for a roller shutter replacement, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with the team here at NGF – one of our engineers will get an understanding of your requirements and talk you through your options. Wherever you are in the UK, we’re here to help!
