Find the Right Finish for Your Premises with RAL Colours

Blue Swoosh Reversed

If you’re looking for a door to match your brand, the building, or existing doors, we have a huge range of RAL colours to choose from.

RAL colour standard is the most popular colour-matching system used for paints, varnishes and powder coatings in Europe. Started in Germany in 1925, it was a means of quality assurance so that goods were accurately and reliably named. RAL is an abbreviation of the German, Reichs-Ausschuß für Lieferbedingungen und Gütesicherung, which means National Commission for Delivery Terms and Quality Assurance. We use this system at NGF to ensure that we achieve the exact shade of industrial door our customers are looking for.

Our RAL colours

Our polyester powder-coated products, Plastisol and polyester finish panels are all available in a range of RAL colours as standard, which means if you have roller shutter doors and a sectional overhead door, you know they’ll still match each other perfectly despite being different construction and materials.

As every door we make at NGF is built bespoke to your specifications, we can match any standard RAL colour on most of our products, including:

Polyester powder coating

Most of the doors we produce have a polyester powder coating finish. This is a tough finish that can be matched to any RAL colour. It’s a dry powder that’s applied electrostatically and then cured with heat to form a skin on your door. Not just decorative, it ensures that your door is even more durable, and the colour that you’ve chosen is resistant to yellowing.

The impact of colour

We provide plenty of doors in blacks, whites and greys, but we love an injection of colour in our day! There’s plenty of evidence of colour psychology – how different colours can affect how you feel, and you have the power to harness this when choosing the shade of your new industrial door.

Some of our customers choose to match their industrial doors to their company branding, which means that their clients have instant brand recognition as they approach their building.

One happy NGF customer had six of these bright yellow industrial roll up doors fitted – an eye-catching feature on their site.

Colour matching

Just bear in mind that the colours on a screen can vary with brightness and contrast, and print can vary even more wildly, so get in touch if you’d like to see the true finish.
