Bespoke industrial workshop doors for busy environments
Every industrial or commercial site comes with its own challenges – none more so than workshops, where people are coming and going, and the sparks may be flying.
Even more than in a warehouse environment, it’s essential to consider safe and convenient access and egress, security, and environmental factors – whether that’s insulation or ventilation!
Choosing the right workshop doors for your needs
There are a number of questions that need to be considered and answered when choosing workshop roller doors for a busy workshop unit. These include:
- How easy is it to open and close? How quick is it to operate? Ideally you want your door to open at the touch of a button, but with manual overrides in case of a power outage or emergency. A door that takes forever to open or close can also mean heat loss, noise pollution – or precious time wasted in case of an injury.
- What is the surrounding space used for? Will vehicles need to drive right up to the door to unload materials or load finished goods? Would a pedestrian access door be a useful addition to your workshop?
- Do you have any environmental concerns? Insulation keeps in noise, but also keeps in heat. Do you need visibility panels?
- How accessible is your door? Do you need added security features to keep out unwanted visitors?
It’s a lot to think about, but fortunately NGF are on hand to help!
