Doesn’t time fly? As of 2020, NGF Industrial Doors have been in business for 25 years – and we’re proud to say we’re still going strong, even through what has already been an incredibly strange year!
We’ve been celebrating our birthday in the midst of the Covid-19 lockdown – working from home where we can, but making sure we’re still able to provide the much-needed installations, maintenance and emergency repairs our customers require. Break-ins and breakdowns don’t stop just because of a virus, sadly enough.
But the changes to our day-to-day routines has given us a bit more time to reflect as we enter our 25th year – so bear with us!
Our beginnings as door manufacturers
NGF was founded back in 1995 by our very own Nigel Furby, and he’s still a huge part of the company today – heavily involved in manufacturing and installation projects, providing support to our customers and leadership to the team.
With many years’ experience in the industry already, Nigel recognised an opportunity to offer a completely bespoke industrial door manufacturing service for customers looking for a door manufacturer near them.
While stock doors are readily available, the best bet for something efficient, secure, safe and completely fit-for-purpose is to have something custom made – and that’s what we began providing for industrial and commercial sites across West Yorkshire.
Nationwide door maintenance and installation
We didn’t stay limited to Yorkshire for long – we now work across the entirety of the UK, installing marine grade steel doors from coast to coast (and sometimes even just off the coast!), for example, and a whole host of steel doors and roller shutters in all corners of the country. We pride ourselves on being able to be on site within the day if you have an emergency, no matter where you are.
What’s next for NGF?
That’s a good question! Even though we’ve kept busy over the past few months, we’re waiting for the lockdown to be well and truly over so we can get back to business as usual – just like everyone else.
Otherwise, we hope to continue providing the same excellent service we always have, but with bigger projects, and stranger requests! We love a challenge, whether it’s replacing doors for an entire warehouse complex, or building custom access solutions in unusual places.
